Briefly
With its new design, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra appears to be a completely different device from last year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra. However, this is not so bad, because the only major addition is actually the S-Pen. This is a great feature that makes the S22 Ultra distinct compared to other high-end smartphones. The camera is still very versatile. It has an excellent zoom function, and due to the better image processing, it is less affected by noise, especially at night. The large, high-resolution screen is brighter and therefore easier to read in the sun. They are welcome upgrades, although we expected more advances with soc, battery life and charging. However, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is fun to use, and as such is a worthy successor to the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Note.
It’s been coming for a while, but it finally happened: Samsung called the popular Note series. or not? The Korean company has combined the most powerful Galaxy S phone with the Galaxy Note, and the result is in the form of Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra brought in the market. This device looks more like a Note than an S model. This is due to the included S-Pen and the rounded shape of the case. If you don’t know the name of the device and you pick it up for the first time, you’ll swear you have a Note 22 in your hands.
Samsung S22 Ultra is on the market for 1249 euros. This means that the introductory price of this device is just as high as that of the S21 Ultra. For this money, this time you will get a smartphone with a 6.8-inch screen, 8 to 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB to 1 TB of storage, and the well-known built-in stylus. If we put the device next to the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the differences are not significant. The CPU is newer (Exynos 2200 instead of 2100/SD888), the screen now has Gorilla Glass Victus+ instead of Gorilla Glass Victus, and the device charges almost twice as fast on paper. In terms of design, the S22 Ultra appears to be a completely different device from its predecessor, but in other areas it has actually remained almost the same.
The camera setup is almost identical, the screen has the same diagonal and high 1440p resolution, and the battery is exactly the same size. Compared to the Galaxy Note series, the look and function of the S-Pen has not changed much, except that the stylus with this device has a place in the device itself. This was not the case with the Galaxy S21 Ultra, although you can already use the stylus with this device. The pen was a separate accessory and could be attached to a specially designed case. Can the S22 Ultra make a big impact despite the small differences and, thanks to the new Exynos, still leave other devices behind? You can read it in this review.
