It didn’t go well for Washington soccer team On “Sunday Night Football”. Washington didn’t get into much of a fight on the field in their 56-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. But the football team fought among themselves on the sidelines.
During the NBC broadcast, a defensive line Jonathan Allen And Daron Payne They were spotted arguing somehow. Payne put one of his fingers in Allen’s face, apparently lecturing his teammate. That’s when Allen sprinted off, patted Pine’s finger away, and then took a swing at his line of defense.
Allen and Payne were college teammates in Alabama. Washington drafted every single one of them in the first round, making Allen the 17th overall pick in 2017 and Payne 13th in 2018. They combined to be one of the NFL’s best inland defensive line pairs, though defensive. Overall, this season has been much less effective than it was a year ago.
Perhaps the frustrations with how this defense performed – not just tonight, but all year long – may have finally faded. Or maybe there is another explanation. Playing on the same team and in the same group that someone has been in for an extended period of time can raise any number of problems, of course. Whatever the case, Washington would surely prefer the two players to solve it in a way other than side problems.
