Two new sets of earbuds with ChatGPT apps built-in have yet to be announced. The company announced that ChatGPT integration will also be coming to other Nothing devices. The new earbuds will be available for purchase starting April 22.

The so-called Ear-and-Ear (A) looks quite similar to its predecessors, but has different upgrades. For example, battery life is improved by 25 percent compared to On-Ear(2), allowing you to listen to non-stop music for 8.5 hours. The earbuds can be charged multiple times in the included case, providing a total battery life of up to 40.5 hours. The slightly cheaper Ear A has a slightly longer battery life: up to 42.5 hours. Ear and Ear A can also be connected to two devices at the same time, so you can easily switch between a laptop and a smartphone, for example.

The earbuds feature the new Smart ANC algorithm, which checks if sound is leaking between the earbuds and the user’s ear canal. Accordingly, more or less noise reduction is added. In addition, Adaptive ANC takes ambient noise into account, according to which the noise reduction is adjusted. Both headphones can block up to 45 dB of noise, compared to 40 dB in the ear(2).

The earphones support LHDC 5.0 and LDAC codecs, which can achieve high sound quality via Bluetooth. Up to 24-bit high-resolution audio at 192kHz is achieved via LHDC 5.0. The earphones offer a maximum of 24-bit at 96kHz via LDAC. Ear(A) only supports LDAC codec. A personal audio profile can also be created in the companion app, as well as separate profiles for different genres.

Nothing has also been announced that the earbuds will be equipped with ChatGPT integration, which will also be rolling out on Nothing OS. It will be possible to speak directly to the AI ​​tool via earphones and smartphone, in order to ask questions and access knowledge.

Ear & Ear (A) will be generally available from April 22nd, but can be booked from April 18th. Nothing Ear will cost €149 and Nothing Ear A will cost €99. Both models are available in black and white. The Nothing Ear(a) is also available in yellow.
