IO Interactive will release “Year 2” for Hitman 3 early next year, which will include new maps, new story elements and a new game mode: Elusive Target Arcade. The PC version of the game will also be upgraded with ray tracing support and VR headsets.

The downloadable content will be released in parts from January 20th. Abrak says there will be “new maps, new stories, new game modes and a new way to play” in Year 2. He won’t say exactly what that means.

It is known that a new game mode is coming: Elusive Target Arcade. This mode puts a spin on the current Elusive Target mode with a “new challenge”. IO Interactive will share more information about this mode in January. In addition, the PC version of the game will be upgraded with ray tracing support. Additionally, the game’s VR mode, which can now only be played with PS VR, will be expanded to PC in January.

IO Interactive is promising another major update to the game in the spring. The company has not released more information yet. IO Interactive writes that Hitman 3 is the most successful Hitman game of all time with 50 million players.
