Outgoing Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced during a Friday evening news conference that festivals would remain banned until September 20. Paaspop will take place from 3 to 5 September. The program included Duncan Laurence, Chef’Special, Davina Michelle, Suzan & Freek, and Typhoon.

Sanders is finding it hard to fathom the possibility of holding Formula 1 in Zandvoort with an audience and that football stadiums have been packed with fans for some time now. “We get 35,000 visitors per day during Paaspop, which is less than I’ve seen at PSV. In Formula 1, they now say only a portion of the full capacity is allowed, but it wouldn’t surprise me that everyone would be welcomed back.” According to the festival director, the event segment appears to be being used as a symbol of keeping the infection rate low.
Paaspop is traditionally the inaugural festival season in April. When it was announced earlier this year that only events after July 1 could return to the escrow fund in case of cancellation, the organization decided to move the festival to September. This was the first time that Paaspop, which had been around for 47 years, had not taken place during the Easter holiday.
