TCL is introducing one of the cheapest 5G smartphones to date with the TCL 20 R 5G. The device has MediaTek Dimensity 700-soc, 4GB RAM and 64GB Flash Storage. The screen has a variable refresh rate and reaches a maximum of 90Hz.

The primary camera has a 13-megapixel sensor in the 1/3-inch format, and the device also has a macro camera and a depth sensor, both of which use a 2-megapixel sensor of the 1/5-inch format.

TCL 20 R 5G is the fifth device in the TCL 20 series to appear in the Netherlands and Belgium. Introduced the Chinese factory at the beginning of this year TCL 20 5G and TCL 20 SE in the Benelux and later Followed by TCL 20L + and TCL 20L. The new R model is the only one with MediaTek soc, as the manufacturer uses Snapdragon socs in other devices.

With a suggested retail price of €180, the TCL 20 R 5G is one of the Cheapest 5G Smartphones at Pricewatch. At the time of writing, it is the cheapest device that combines this with a 90Hz screen. Xiaomi and Poco have devices with similar features starting at 195 euros.
