It is rumored that Nvidia will come this year with the RTX 3090 Super. The video card will have faster Gddr6x memory, consume more power and have slightly more CUDA cores than the regular model.
Twitter user Kopite7kimi Mentions the details of the GA102-350A1 GPU. According to the leak, it can be used with the GeForce RTX 3090 Super, with 10752 CUDA cores, 21 GB / s of memory, and Total graphics power 450 watts. The Super version will not have NVLink to link two cards. Kopite7kimi is known as a reliable source. Last year, he published the specifications of the RTX 30 series before it was officially known.
The number of 10752 CUDA cores is marginally higher than the RTX 3090, which has 10,496. The 256-core difference probably won’t make much difference in performance, although clock speeds are not yet known. Higher consumption may indicate higher clock speeds, although more power is also required for faster memory.
It was already announced last year that RTX 30 cards with 21Gb/s of memory were available Micron noticed. Then the memory manufacturer mentioned the RTX 3090 with a memory speed of 19-21 GB / s. The first RTX 3090 released by Nvidia has Gddr6x at 19.5 Gbit/s. If there is already an RTX 3090 Super with 21 GB / s memory, then the memory bandwidth will increase to 1008 GB / s. With the RTX 3090, that’s 936 GB/s.
Another Twitter user, Greymon55, Already mentioned earlier RTX 3090 Super with the same number of cores, but talk about a consumption of 400 watts. It is not yet clear how reliable this user’s information is.
Officially, Nvidia has yet to announce anything regarding the GeForce RTX 3090 Super. The card is rumored to be released sometime this year. The current top model of the RTX series appeared in September of last year. It’s the only card from the RTX 30 line that doesn’t yet have a Ti or Super variant.
