Red Bull Racing seems to have discovered something in the Circuit of America after Friday. The pace was already good on the first day of the weekend, but at his fastest pace, especially at Max Verstappen’s pace it was not immediately apparent. In the third free workout, he and Sergio Perez were at the top of the timetable for a long time.

Perez was in the lead throughout the session and finished VT3 fast. Verstappen set a fast time in the final stage, but it was canceled because the track exceeded the limits. So, he had to settle for third place after Carlos Science.
Lewis Hamilton also set a faster time than Perez, but he also missed the best time to cross the track boundaries. He was pushed to sixth place after Britain’s teammate Valteri Potas.
