Everyone is giving Matthew Stafford his flowers today, but Richard Sherman says not so fast.

On “Good Morning Football,” former NFL quarterback Michael Robinson said Stafford is “absolutely” destined to be inducted into the Professional Football Hall of Fame. Sherman, who was Robinson’s teammate for several seasons at the Seahawks, strongly disagreed.

“[T]HOF bar is incredibly low now,” Sherman chirp. “Like the Sharing Cup. No Team of the Decade. No All Pro. No MVP. 1 Pro Bowl. Not even MVP from SB. Not considered the best in any year he played. No less than Matt Ryan has the best player.”

Will Brinson of CBS Sports knock insaying Stafford has an excellent chance of getting to Canton if he plays another three or four seasons, regardless of whether he earns an All-Pro in any of those years.

“how?” Sherman Requested. “Every Pro is a measuring stick. Every decade is a measuring stick. It shows that you were considered the best in your position during the time you played. If you weren’t in that discussion, you shouldn’t be in HOF consideration.”

Sherman added that Stafford “probably” won’t have an All-Pro season before his career is over, and Brinson noted that Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Breeze – three sure-holds Hall of Famers had their five combined Super Bowl titles – only collectively had Between the three is the All-Pro nod.
