Linda de Mol is alone in her country house and wants to start over somewhere else.

Not the quiet Gooi but the dynamic Amsterdam is where Linda de Mol (58) is to be found more and more in recent months. This isn’t just about the recordings of the new TV series she’s getting busy with, or because her two children Julian, 25, and Noe, 22, live there. But also as the Queen of Ranking, the capital is now the place where she can walk the streets most anonymously, mingle with the crowd and where people don’t gossip behind her back.

Gazing

“In Het Gooi Linda she is nothing but an unknown,” says a story insider. When she’s shopping at Blaricum or Laren, she seems to feel like people are staring at her or pitying her. This might also be why it hasn’t been seen here for ages. There are even some whispers that Linda might consider selling her huge Oud Crailo property in Huizen, which she bought in 2002. Linda doesn’t find much here anymore. After breaking up with Jeroen (Rietbergen – ed.) she lives here on her own, and now she thinks the house is too big and too empty. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if Linda moved to Amsterdam.
