Take that, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will perform at King Charles’ coronation on May 7. That BBC reports. Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli will also appear, as will British singer Freya Ridings and musician Alexis French. More theater artists are expected to be announced soon.
Three members of the original line-up of Take That attend the Coronation Show at Windsor Castle. They are Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen. Robbie Williams and Jason Orange, two former members of the band, were invited to reunite again.
Many great artists had previously indicated that they were not interested in performing during the coronation show in honor of Charles. Harry Styles, the Spice Girls, Adele, Ed Sheeran and Elton John, among others, have all missed out on an invitation.
The official coronation of Charles will take place the day before the ceremony, on Saturday 6 May.
