ASUS Zenbook S 13 Introduces 1.1cm-Thick OLED, Its Thinnest OLED Laptop PC News

ASUS has announced its refreshed flagship Zenbook S 13 OLED, its thinnest OLED laptop yet at just under 1.1cm thick. The laptop has a maximum of 13th generation Intel Core i7-1355U processor and weighs exactly one kilogram. No release date has been announced yet.

Like the previous model, Zenbook S 13 OLED has a 13.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. ASUS promises to display 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color space again and also a peak brightness of 550cd/m² and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification is back again. Last year’s model, like Intel’s variant of the S 13 OLED, weighed 1 kilogram, while ASUS managed to reduce the thickness by about 4 millimeters.

The main difference is the insertion of a 13th generation Intel processor, the i7-1355U or i5-1335U, and the connection to the Iris Xe igpu. As far as RAM is concerned, ASUS maxes out the Lpddr5 memory at 32GB, while the 63Wh battery has about 4Wh less capacity. The maximum storage space remains 1 TB. Furthermore, the revamped Zenbook S 13 OLED has USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, a Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI 2.1 port and a 3.5mm port for connecting external devices.

ASUS hasn’t released anything yet on the release date. On the other hand, the laptop has already received its suggested retail price, which is $1,699 for the higher-end model with an i7-1355U and 32GB of RAM. It’s not clear what the suggested retail price for Benelux will be.
