Katherine Keel wants to file a complaint against the doctor who misdiagnosed her condition at the hospital. The 77-year-old broadcaster narrates this story.
Kell had been walking around for several weeks with inexplicable pain in her hip. This now appears to be the result of a hernia, following an MRI. The broadcaster had previously visited another hospital, but an incorrect diagnosis was made there.
“At first it was supposed to be bursitis, but it wasn’t,” Keil says. “I even got an injection for it. That caused me more pain. They also said it’s not a hernia, but it is.”
She blames the doctor for not taking any tests or pictures during her visit to the hospital. She is also disappointed by a phone call she made later. “Because the pain was unbearable, I requested a phone consultation. I refused to answer the phone. The assistant told me I had another appointment in three weeks. Isn’t that terrible?”
However, Kel is happy that she finally knows what’s going on. “But I will definitely file a complaint against this doctor. Because I could have avoided all this suffering.”
