China has closed a secret plan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). U.S. intelligence agencies suspect it may involve the construction of a military installation, locals told the Wall Street Journal.

According to the newspaper, the United States has decided on the basis of satellite images that China is engaged in a military program in a port near Abu Dhabi. Construction was halted after the United States warned the Gulf state government. He was told that relations with Washington would be strained if the United Arab Emirates allowed Chinese military action.

The Emirates government does not seem to have realized that it was established for military purposes. A spokesman for the United Arab Emirates’ embassy in Washington told the Business News that his country had never considered allowing China to build a “military base or outpost.”

Relations between the United States and China have deteriorated sharply under former President Trump. Trade, dealing with the corona epidemic, tensions around Taiwan and Hong Kong’s Chinese ‘connection’ are some of the points of contention.
