WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow users to share their screen, according to the WhatsApp beta for Android devices. Users can activate the feature when they are on a call.
The feature is in beta 2.23.11.19 of the Android app, but it is not yet available to all users of this version, WABetaInfo reports. While connected, users will see a new icon between the camera on/off button and the camera perspective switch button.
When users press this button, they first see a warning. It shows that the entire phone screen is shared, and thus users should be careful about showing sensitive information. Screen sharing can be stopped at any time.
WABetaInfo writes that the feature may not work on older Android versions, or during large conference calls. It has not been announced when the feature will be available to all users.
Finally, the site notes that in the same beta version, navigation bar tabs are shown, which Since the trial period in April I moved to the bottom of the screen and it toggled. The order now is “Chats”, “Calls”, “Communities” and “Status”.
