Focus Entertainment has announced its new 40,000-shooter Warhammer. Warhammer 40.000: Boltgun is an old DOOM-esque game due out next year. Owlcat Games, the studio that created Pathfinder, is also working on the “classic” RPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.
In Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Players take on the role of a “space marine” on a “dangerous mission across the galaxy”. Players face enemies such as Chaos Space Marines and daemons of Chaos with a bolt gun. The game is inspired by classic shooting games from the 90s like DOOM, Quake and Duke Nukem. The Boltgun doesn’t have a specific release date yet, but it will be released sometime in 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is developed by Auroch Digital and published by Focus Entertainment.
The classic turn-based RPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will be available at a later date for Early Access
Verse Work is also underway on Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader† It will be a “classic” role-playing game with an isometric camera perspective and turn-based combat. Players take on the role of Rogue Trader, “a descendant of an ancient dynasty of intrepid pirates, who rule their trading empire and explore the fringes of imperial space.”
Rogue Trader is in development at Owlcat Games, the studio behind the Pathfinder series. The game is coming on PC and consoles, but it doesn’t have an exact release date yet. The developer has already started selling the game and people who pre-ordered the game will have access to early versions of the game. In fact, it is a kind of early access-Game. It is not yet known when those early versions will appear.
