Ubisoft Massive has officially announced its Star Wars game. Outlaws will be an open world game between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The game will be released next year.

Ubisoft Massif Show the first trailer for Star Wars Outlaws Sunday night during the Xbox Game Show. The game follows villain Kay Vess, who must pull off “one of the greatest heists Outer Rim has ever seen” with her sidekick Nix. The player has to take on risky missions from the criminal organizations in the game. Kai wants to save enough resources along the way to start a new life, writes Ubisoft in a press release.

Star Wars Outlaws will be released in 2024. Although the title was shown during the Xbox presentation, the game will also be released on other platforms. The game will be released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S. The studio promised to share more details about the game on Monday, June 12th. This will happen during the Ubisoft Forward Show, which starts at 7pm NST.

Ubisoft Massive, the studio responsible for The Division, announced in 2021 that it is working on an open world game set in the Star Wars universe. Until now, the game was known as the “Star Wars Project”. The game also did not have a release year yet.
