Noos Newsan average

Geert Wilders’ Party for Freedom (PVV) leads the exit poll conducted by research agency Ipsos on behalf of NOS and RTL. According to this first indication of the election results, the Freedom Party will win about 35 seats. In the previous House of Representatives elections in 2021, the party won much fewer seats: 17 seats.

Behind the PVV are Frans Timmermans’ GroenLinks-PvdA with 26 seats (previously 17 seats) and Dylan Jesselgoz’s VVD with 23 seats (previously 34 seats). Newcomer NSC, Peter Omtzgut’s party, comes in fourth place in this exit poll with 20 seats.

There is a large gap between the NSC and the smaller parties in this exit poll: the next party is D66 with 10 seats (previously 24) and BBB with 7 seats (previously 1). It is followed by CDA and SP, both with 5 seats, followed by PvdD with 4 seats.

FvD, CU and SGP each get 3 seats. Two parties hold two seats: Volt and Denk. The 50Plus and JA21 each get one seat. If this exit poll matches the final election results, BIJ1 and BVNL will not return to the House of Representatives.

Wilders’ first response

Geert Wilders posted a short video on X, showing his first reaction to the exit poll.

Polling stations have just closed, and the counting of votes will now begin. Election results can be followed throughout the evening on NOS via TV, radio, NOS.nl and the app. You can find all results online here.

ANP will follow this night with the first preliminary forecasts for the distribution of seats in the House of Representatives. These results are based on actual results up to that point, which means they should be more accurate than exit polls. Tomorrow, when all the results are received, the Afghan National Police hopes to turn initial predictions into predictions of final results.
