Swedish pop group ABBA won’t get together after their new album Voyage, which is coming out next month. In an interview with Britain’s Guardian newspaper, 74-year-old Benny Anderson said this was the “ultimate end” of ABBA.
On November 5 – for the first time in forty years – a new ABBA album will be released. The group will release their single Just A Notion on Thursday, and have released the songs I Still Have Faith In You and Don’t Shut Me Down last month. ‘This is it and this is how it should be. We also broke up in 1982, but we never said it was over forever. Now that’s it, it was cute’, Aldous Anderson in the goalkeeper. The previous split was not entirely friendly and caused a long distance between the band members. The singer says that the second “divorce” is more amicable.
Concerts with Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson can still be seen at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London from 27 May. The four band members have already recorded concerts.
ABBA became known worldwide in 1974 by winning the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Sweden with the song Waterloo. The band has hit songs like Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, and The Winner Takes It All.
