The first traitor must evacuate: 'Finally'

In the movie “Traitors” the believer no longer knows where to look. So far, they have only sent peers out of the game. It’s time for the traitor to come out.

The morning starts messy right away. Everyone enters the breakfast room. This means that no one was killed. Believers believe that traitors wanted to kill a person with a shield. Jimmy Westland yells at the table that he has the shield. He immediately makes himself innocent in front of the group. But Babette van Veen doesn’t fall for just that. “This is going way too easy for me,” she says. She checks the rules and sees that traitors can kill each other, but with the shield the slain traitor won’t come out either.

She trusts Frank Evenblig. “I have bad news. (…) It is not entirely true what we think. The traitor may kill the traitor.” Frank is immediately upset, but goes along with Babbitt’s discovery. With that in mind, he sees how Jimmy and Stefano Kaiser try to play with him in hopes of him voting for Toine van Peperstraten. “I see it happening.”

Then it is time for the round table, and the traitor Stefano begins to plead that the faithful continue. But then he said something strange. “I swear by everything that is dear to me, to my mother, to my father, to my beloved, to my brothers and sisters, to my friends, to my happiness and success: I am not a traitor. I am a believer.” This lie doesn’t hurt Stefano. It is believed by Stephen Brunswick and Frank.

But it’s not the traitors Stefano and Jimmy who are being so criticized at the round table. Ortal is the affected dog. Last week she just passed away. She tries to save her own skin by making Toine suspicious, but Babbitt, who has found the right path, disagrees. “I think: Here we are again,” she says in her confession. “Soon things will start to turn again.”

Jimmy tries to save Ortal, but Babbitt cuts her off. “I think there are people out there who are more skeptical,” she says of Ortal. Then all believers write her name too. And then it becomes clear that the first traitor of this season must leave the field. “I don’t really know what to say, except that I thought it was really fun and weird,” Ortal began his farewell speech. “I am a traitor.” The group is over the moon.

“Finally,” Stephen exclaims, “what a lovely feeling.” Jimmy is not happy. “She was almost there,” he says in his confession. Ortál breaks down in tears. She concludes, “I’m proud. I’m kind of relieved. It’s so weird. I really wish they’d get one. They’ve needed that for a while.”

Babbitt soon tells Stephen her theory that Jimmy is a traitor. I noticed that Jimmy wanted to have Stephen on his side. “I think we’re being sexually exploited, you don’t really want to know,” Babbitt told him. Earlier in the day Frank Dion reported Slagter about the regulations Babette found.
