Almost all juvenile crime figures have been declining for years. Young people commit fewer crimes. However, there is absolutely no reason to be cheerful. The juvenile delinquency that still exists is worrying. The trends are: younger than ever, increasingly violent and increasingly violent.
Next year, the government will distribute tens of millions of euros to fight youth crime in problem neighbourhoods. Three of the fifteen municipalities selected for this purpose are located in Brabant. Eindhoven, Tilburg and Breda should come up with a plan before the end of the year to better deal with youth crime.
