Debian Update 12: Version 12.2
The Debian Project is pleased to announce the second update to its stable distribution Debian 12 (codenameThe intellectual). This point release mainly adds patches for security issues, along with some tweaks for serious issues. Security warnings have already been published separately and are referenced where available.
Please note that the point release does not constitute a new release of Debian 12 but only updates some of the included packages. There is no need to throw away the old oneThe intellectualMedia. After installation, packages can be upgraded to current versions using the updated Debian mirror. Those who frequently install updates from Security.debian.org will not have to update many packages, and most of these updates are included in the bitmap release.
New installation images will be available soon at regular locations. An existing installation can be upgraded to this revision by pointing the package management system to one of Debian’s many HTTP mirrors. A comprehensive list of mirrors is available here.
