Princess Alexia will be present at Budget Day for the first time this year, the government information service reported. On September 19, she will travel to the Theater Royal, where the Throne Speech will be read. After the trip back to Nordinde Palace, you’ll also likely stand on the balcony to wave.
The princess turned 18 on June 26. The fact that she has come of age is the reason why the princess now attends a formal occasion like Budget Day. Last year, her sister Amalia turned 18 and was also present at Prinsjesdag for the first time.
Alexia will ride in the Gala glass sedan. This carriage departs slightly before the glass carriage from Nordinde Palace to the theatre. This also includes Prince Constantine and Princess Laurentian.
Alexia is riding in the glass carriage with King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Crown Princess Amalia. “This is intended for the head of state or the future head of state,” the government information service reported.
First business visit
It was announced last week that Alexia will be making her first official working visit on September 9. She then named a ship in Rotterdam after her: Vox Alexia. She also tours and talks with the ship’s crew.
Alexia completed her training at United World College of the Atlantic in Wales early this summer. During the photo shoot, which is held every six months, she said that she will take next year off before going to college. “It’s going to be a little bit of travel and work and everything. There’s a lot of plans, but nothing planned yet,” she said at the time.
She was last seen in public with her family at the end of August. Then she visited the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort:
