Basic presentation without much flair
We asked Jeroen, the gaming expert from… www.patience.nl His opinion on the new patience game released by Netflix. This game is considered a good indicator to determine the quality of other games, as this game was released by almost all technology giants, such as Google and Microsoft. This was his opinion:
“Of the many games released by Netflix, most of them are quite basic in nature. For example, their version of the world-famous card game Solitaire lacks the depth we know from Microsoft Windows Solitaire or even playing solitaire for free on online gaming sites. Many can be played of titles are standard on the Internet and are much more easily accessible than Netflix’s current offering.
What is striking is that Netflix has chosen to distribute through existing platforms such as the Apple Store and Google Play Store, rather than investing in its own dedicated gaming platform such as Xbox or PlayStation.
Most games simply lack this “wow” effect. It seems that Netflix has chosen to build a large collection in the shortest possible time and attract less attention to the depth and quality of the games.
Netflix exclusive titles
While the offering in each category is still in its infancy, it’s interesting to see that Netflix has chosen a mix of traditional games and games inspired by its popular series and movies.
Take this example’Queen’s Gambit Chess“, which is a smart move by Netflix to capitalize on the massive success of the series of the same name. There’s also “Narcos: Cartel Wars Unlimited,” which is sure to appeal to fans of the hit show, and “Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales,” a game Puzzles inspired by the hit series.
Netflix is clearly trying to make its mark on the gaming world. By mixing traditional game genres with themes from their most popular content, they aim to bring a unique touch to the mobile gaming scene. Although initial reactions were mixed, some games liked their version Las Vegas SolitaireWhile it may not have the depth and sophistication one might expect, it’s a promising start. With Netflix’s creative power and ability to influence popular culture, we can likely expect some game changes in the future. For now, we’ll remain curious and wait to see what else Netflix has in store in the gaming space.
