Three people from the audience of the RTL 4 talk show Genk Suddenly he started dancing in the studio and on the table on Friday night live on the broadcast. It turned out to be a surprise from comedian Peter Pannekoek.
The unannounced appearance occurred during a conversation about Peter’s new show Why don’t we go more often?, in which he shares his love of theatre, including transferring scenes from the stage into the “real world”. This is exactly what presenter Eva Genk experienced.
“How often do you go dancing? ” Peter asked. ‘I think it was years ago,’ Jinek began, but as she was answering the music started, a man started singing and she could no longer be understood. Three people stood on the outdoor bench among the audience and started dancing on the bench. Soon they were moving around the studio and a woman was dancing on the table in front of Eva.
He was somewhat surprised, but may have been aware of the “theft”. After all, she laughed more than she looked shocked, while her show was suddenly taken over. She was also okay with Pannekoek getting her script off the table so the dancer wouldn’t slip.
‘Crazy! You guys, crazy! Absolutely brilliant,’ I exclaimed after the performance. ‘You want that every night, don’t you?’ The performers turned out to be members of De Dansers from Utrecht, a group of dancers and musicians. The choreography comes from their performance Hush.
