On social media, many people share pictures of a candle they lit for Rob de Nijs. With candles, the people respond to the appeal made to the famous song by Henriette, de Neiges’ wife Put a candle in front of your windowto light a candle for the sick singer.
“Hope many virtual candles burn tonight,” someone wrote on Twitter with an animated image of a burning candle. “Hang in there dear Rob De Neiges,” another writes. W: I wouldn’t say I admire his music, but I have a lot of respect for him. I think he will definitely have a place in the history of Dutch pop music.”
De Nijs has been in hospital since Thursday and his condition is “alarming”. It’s an exciting day,” Henriëtte, the wife of the 80-year-old singer who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, told De Telegraaf newspaper earlier today. ,, We are inundated with feedback and statements of support but my focus is on Rob. I will not leave his side and therefore cannot answer anything.”
Separation
In the same article, I called candles. “It would be nice if people who enjoyed it lit a candle now or tonight: #zeeenkaarsvoorjeraam.”
De Nijs said goodbye as a singer last year after a career that spanned more than six decades. The artist suffers from Parkinson’s disease, a progressive, incurable disease in which neurons in the brain die so that movements are not properly controlled, for example. It became difficult for him to do. “I can’t take another step now,” he said at the end of last year. He gave his last concert from a wheelchair.
