Clemson continues to do aggressive recruiting in Texas.
Four star wide receiver Noble Johnson (6-3 205) of Rockwall, Texas, committed to the Tigers on Saturday. Johnson chose Clemson over other finalists in Louisville, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.
It’s the Tigers’ fifth commitment this week and ninth for the 2023 enlistment class, and the second to call the Lone Star State home, after the 4-star streak man. Ian ReedAddition (Austin, Texas). The pledge puts Clemson in the top ten of the 247Sports Team Composite rankings (ninth).
Johnson was in Clemson last week during Dabo Sweeney The camp plans to return for an official visit at the end of last week of September.

“What I love most about them is the technical staff,” Johnson said. “They are all very mobile. There is a lot of energy and there is not a lot of toxicity in the room. I also liked the facilities and the life after football program.”
Speaking with Grisham and Sweeney, Johnson said he got a good idea of how they used him in the attack.
“They said I’d be the receiver at the border,” Johnson said. “Coach Gresham told my coaches I polished more than half the reception room. They really like me. I bring a lot to the table. My speed, my physicality, my way of running, how fast I get in and out of my breaks, my intensity, my football IQ and I can read defenses. I I really check everything. I feel like Clemson is where I can control the most.”
Johnson has also received offers from Tennessee, Michigan, Baylor, Southern Cal, TCU, Washington and Texas Tech.
He had 49 catches for 875 yards and eight points last season.
Johnson also committed to playing for the Under Armor All-American Game for this season.
