Linda Evangelista settles CoolSculpting suit after botched surgery | stars

In a statement on social media, she said she was happy to finally be able to leave the case behind. She writes, “I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life with friends and family.” “I am grateful for all the support I have received from everyone.” Evangelista is seeking $50 million in damages and alleging that she was discredited by Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc.’s CoolSculpting lawsuit. She also believes that the treatment did the opposite of what she promised and left her “unknown”. The details of the settlement are unknown.

Evangelista revealed last year that she developed paradoxical fat hyperplasia (PAH) after her CoolSculpting treatment in 2016. After several months of fat-cell freezing treatment, she started seeing bulges on her chin, thighs, and around her breasts. This is a rare but known side effect of this surgery. Then she needed two more surgeries, but they also did not produce the desired results. “It has put me in a cycle of deep depression, deep sadness and self-loathing,” she wrote on Instagram in September 2021. “During the process, I became a hermit.”

Evangelista rose to fame in the 1990s and was part of a group of up-and-coming supermodels including Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Christy Turlington.
