After years of stagnation, Flitsmeister has resumed development of the CarPlay version. In May, the CarPlay app received two new functions, and now another new one has been added, which is especially useful for anyone who drives a lot on the highway and uses the CarPlay version. Flitsmeister displays your average speed in CarPlay from the latest version as soon as you drive through the average speed check.
Flitsmeister CarPlay shows the average while checking the average speed
The well-known traffic and speed camera app warns not only about speed cameras and mobile checks, but also about department checks. On the iPhone version, you can also see your average speed, so you know if you’re driving too fast on the road. But if you are using the CarPlay version, you will not have this option. You’ve been warned about section checks, but you can’t easily tell if you should slow down on that section to avoid a fine. So many users have expressed that they would like this average speed function to be available in the CarPlay app.
From version 10.33, you can see in CarPlay your average speed while checking the average speed. This is displayed next to the maximum speed. Average speed is green if you’re not driving too fast, so you can see quickly if you risk a fine. In many speed checks, you can drive too fast without noticing, so this function will be useful to many road users.
Average speed is automatically enabled
You don’t need to do anything to use this feature. Once you have the latest version of Flitsmeister your average speed will automatically appear at the top right of the screen once you drive through the average speed check. Navigation does not have to be active.
Many Apple users use Flitsmeister with a navigation app of their choice, such as Apple Maps. Although Apple Maps has also warned of speed cameras for some time now, average speed checks are not included.
Since earlier this spring, you can also pay for parking with Flitsmeister CarPlay. Flitsmeister CarPlay also works with the dash function.
