(ABM FN-Dow Jones) Home sales in the United States fell every month in August. This was revealed from the National Real Estate Association figures on Wednesday.

The number of current homes sold is expected to fall 2.0 percent to a seasonally adjusted number of 5.88 million units per year.

Economists already expected 5.87 million homes to be sold.

On an annual basis, this is a decrease of 1.5 percent.

The average selling price in August was almost 14.9 percent higher than a year earlier, at $ 356,700.
