But basically, this is a big strong guy who can throw the ball with precision. He’s very good on the field. He’s a tough guy to handle. He’s strong in the pocket. He can do every throw on the field. He’s very good.”

Winston threw five touchdowns in New Orleans’ first week on Green Bay. But he didn’t have as much success against Carolina last week, finishing 11 of 22 passes for 111 yards with a pair of interceptions. He was also fired four times, although he ran for relegation.

Belichick noted that Winston is able to play with both legs.

“If you saw him running with the ball, I don’t know why you would want him to run with the ball into space,” Belichick said. “I don’t think that’s a good idea at all. It’s hard to handle. He’s fast. Run over people. I don’t think you want him to rush in high school.”
