Game 4 of the ALDS goes down between the Astros and the White Sox on Tuesday at a guaranteed rate field in Chicago. The match was originally scheduled for Monday.. The Astros lead the best of five series 2-1, which means this is an elimination game for the White Sox. If the Astros win on Tuesday, they will advance to face the Red Sox in the ALCS. If the White Sox takes it, the two teams will play a crucial Match 5 again in Houston on Wednesday night. The basics of this:
date: Tuesday 12 October | time: 2:07 p.m. ET
Location: Guaranteed rate field (Chicago, Illinois)
TV: FS1 | Stream: fuboTV (try for free)
Jose Orkidi was scheduled to start on Monday, but the postponement means Lance McCullers Jr. will take the hill to Houston instead. McCullers, who also started opening the series, will be fully rested. In Game 1, he threw 6 2/3 stopping innings, hit four hits and caught the White Sox only four hits on 104 throws. During the regular season, McCullers started 28 times and scored 3.16 ERA (136 era +) and a 2.43 strike-to-walk ratio in 162 innings.
On the flip side, left-handed Carlos Rodon will start the White Sox, as originally planned. Rodon had an excellent season, but his effectiveness was diminished by shoulder strain. However, he hasn’t seen a game since September 29th, so perhaps the abundance of rest will help him.
