Benny Anderson no longer watches the Eurovision Song Contest. Nearly fifty years after winning the event with ABBA, the singer says he doesn’t like him anymore.
“I try not to look anymore,” Anderson, 75, tells the British. subway† ,, This is too much. Too many countries participate and everyone sings in English. It’s not fun anymore.”
In fact, it seems Anderson didn’t even catch a look at the latest edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. This year, no fewer than six songs finished in the top ten that were sung in a language other than English. In fact, it was the fourth time in six years that the winning song was not in English.
