The four singers of Frizzle Sizzle are back on stage for once. During Het Grote Songfestivalfeest on December 9 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Laura, Karin Vlasblom, Mandy Huydts and Marjon Keller will sing their biggest hit once again. Everything has a rhythm.
It’s been seven years since we introduced the four of us,” says Mandy Headts. This was still small, compared to the scene that would soon take place at Ziggo Dome. We can’t say no to this. And Karen comes from America specifically for this.”
In 1986, Frizzle Sizzle appeared for the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest. The four teenagers, who performed barefoot, took thirteenth place at the time. The ladies know each other from Children for Children and were very popular in the 80’s. After they separated in 1990 and Karen moved to America, the four would meet occasionally.
Frizzle Sizzle’s participation in The Great Song Contest also means a reunion with Belgian singer Sandra Kim. Kim won the year that Frizzle Sisel competed against the Netherlands.
Kornald Maas and Edicilia Rumbley present the Grand Eurovision Song Contest. Artists such as Loreen, OG3NE, Stefania, Go_A, Netta, Sertab Erener, The Waterloo Band, Imaani, Michael Schulte, Kristian Kostov, Johnny Logan, Lordi, Sandra Kim, Verka Serduchka and Herreys will perform.
The second edition of Het Grote Songfestivalfeest will take place on December 9, 2021 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Tickets are already on sale.
