The Big Ten Tournament kicks off Wednesday in the first five-day race to the finish line before Selection Sunday. The tournament kicks off at 6:30 PM ET with No. 12-ranked Wisconsin desperate to beat No. 13-ranked Ohio State on bubble odds as the Badgers teeter on the outside looking to enter the week.

Day 1 of the Big Ten tournament will conclude Wednesday night with a final matchup featuring No. 11 seed Nebraska and No. 14 seed Minnesota and No. 6 seed Minnesota awaiting the winner there. Nebraska won both regular season games against the Golden Gophers and carries with it five wins in its last six games before the end of the season.

If that wasn’t enough to whet your March Madness appetite, this week it is expected that there will be plenty of drama on deck elsewhere other than the Big Ten’s bubbling squads. All eyes will be on No. 1-seeded Purdue — a potential No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament that has attracted two byes — as the Boilermakers head for the big dance. Purdue finished 4-4 in their last eight regular season games and their credentials for earning a top seed have dwindled, so running the table this week will do good for their prospects in giving them some much-needed impetus as well. Second seed Northwestern could steal the show this week with a run, while No. 3 seed Indiana lurks as challengers led by Trace Jackson-Davis and Galen Hood-Schevino.
