Wilders looks forward to the ruling and hopes that Omtzigt will repent

The Party for Freedom performs well in opinion polls. Geert Wilders does this well, he says in a conversation with political correspondent Roel Schreinmachers. Therefore, he wants to rule in a new government. “I am also prepared to participate in governance. Preferably in a majority government. I prefer not to tolerate, but to actually govern.”

Wilders continues: “I don’t see it as now or never, but the best thing for the Netherlands is for the Freedom Party to join the government.”

Watch what Wilders has to say below:

The Freedom Party wants to form a center-right coalition. “An alliance with parties like the BBB, NSC, VVD and JA21 is an excellent combination,” says Wilders. The VVD has already opened the door a little and no longer rules out engagement with the PVV in advance. This was the case during the Rutte era.

Peter Omtzgut of the National Security Council does not want to participate with the Freedom Party. Therefore, Wilders hopes that Peter Omtzgut will repent. “The voters of the National Security Council want to govern with the Freedom Party,” Wilders said in the conversation.

A recent opinion poll conducted by the RTL News Panel showed that 17% believe that Wilders would be a good prime minister. “I am now in the role of the opposition. As for the position of prime minister, I am different.”

If the Freedom Party does not become the largest, Wilders will remain in parliament. Wilders concludes his speech by saying: “If we reach second or third place, I will remain in the House of Representatives. But of course I hope that we will become the largest.”
