US Government Offers $7 Billion in Subsidies to Build Hydrogen Hubs – IT Pro – News

In fact, all battery manufacturing that takes away cobalt from the ability to refine the oil in ICE fuel should be banned.

In case you didn’t know, cobalt is mined (globally) for oil refining. And the industry doesn’t want to use less cobalt. However, there are more battery designs that do not require cobalt. Battery development still has a lot of room for growth.

You can’t (anymore) say that about other industries like oil refineries.

Now I read in other media that more and more practical tests are showing that hydrogen does not work as a fuel. There are a number of Dutch companies testing prototypes of hydrogen-powered construction vehicles. And the results are disappointing. Even the discontinuation of these programs is a big problem for some. The articles I have read about this do not mention the exact reasons.

Now I hear that EVs are very popular among companies that have EVs and hydrogen vehicles in their “fleets”. Hydrogen commercial vehicles improve efficiency throughout the workday. In practice, refueling with hydrogen is not much faster than recharging an EV.

Watersof only works well if the vehicle is large enough to carry enormous hydrogen tanks that can be recharged daily. Therefore vehicles with a fixed route such as city and regional buses and (small) trucks for public transport drive in and around a city.

Considering the effort involved in producing hydrogen, the losses in storage, and the limited use cases, I think investing in hydrogen has to be compared to beating a dead horse. And all the time and money spent on this is simply wasted.
