The Royal Family unveiled their annual Christmas card on Sunday. King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and their three daughters chose a summer photo shoot. The accompanying birthday greeting is printed in five languages.

The photo was likely taken on the day of the summer photo shoot at the end of June. All five are wearing exactly the same clothes. Mambo the dog is also in the photo.

The Royal Family wishes everyone a “Merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2024.” The message is also available in English, Spanish, Frisian and Papiamento. “With our best wishes,” the royal couple wrote in the caption.

Last year, the family went above and beyond with an annual Christmas card. The Oranges sparkled in festive costumes in the ballroom of the Huis Ten Bosch Palace. The photo was said to have been taken before Princess Amalia’s postponed birthday party.

In 2021, they took a Christmas photo in front of the massive staircase in the hall of the Huis Ten Bosch Palace. In the photo, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, Princesses Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, as well as the dog Mambo, were accompanied by the Labrador Skipper and Nala.

Last year, just like this year, the royal family chose an old photo, one that was taken on King’s Day. The family took this photo on the balcony of Huis Ten Bosch Palace.
