Despite the fact that not everyone is equally happy that streaming services are pushing the movie world more towards blockbuster movies, Netflix ensures that Hollywood alone can’t put its tentacles into streaming. Unlike many other streaming services, Netflix invests in productions from all over the world.

One of the latest Polish Netflix productions is called Ostatania Vecherza or Hell And this horror film from director Bartosz M. Kowalski now enters the eighth place in the list of the 10 best Dutch on Netflix.

Synopsis: In 1987 in Poland, a police officer investigating mysterious disappearances infiltrates a remote monastery – and uncovers a dark truth about the clergy.

FilmTotaal critic Terence Shea gave the film a nice three stars.

“You may have seen the ensuing climax before, but based on all of the above, it’s not the climax you’d expect in this movie. Its makers really go for it, in a great way. The cliches have been overlooked and it still gives Ostatnia Wieczerza a well-deserved pass,” Shi said.
