The Galaxy S22 Ultra’s brand new cameras excel. Not only because the four lenses are well hidden in the body, but also because the performance is very good. The main camera has 108MP for regular photos and with the 12MP ultra wide-angle camera, you can take ultra-wide photos and capture large buildings up close.
Additionally, there’s also a 10MP telephoto lens for triple zoom, which is useful if you’re close to a flower and want to put the pistil in the photo. With the 10MP telephoto lens for ten times zoom, you can still read text from far away.
The latter is special: we don’t see it with other smartphones. The main camera also features a special glass that prevents lens reflection.
Versatile camera
The camera is versatile: it can zoom well and take good night photos. What helps with this is that Samsung has improved the software, so that photos are processed better and faster. You can see this, for example, in photos and videos at night, which have much less noise.
AI helps improve portraits: it can recognize and expand the difference between a background and a person. This makes for a better selfie, because your subject stands out.
If you want to exercise more control over your photos, you can download the Expert RAW app. This is a separate app from Samsung that allows you to set the ISO value, exposure, and shutter speed yourself.
