Dutch tennis players join United States, Great Britain and Kazakhstan in draw for Davis Cup final The group stage will take place in Glasgow, Scotland from September 14 to 18.

The Netherlands qualified for the final in early March by beating Canada 4-0 in The Hague. In the draw, national coach Paul Horhuis’ team was in fourth and final.

“It’s a very strong team, but without the top ten players in the world. The United States and Great Britain are stronger on paper than us, but Kazakhstan is a little less in principle,” Horhuis said.

In 2019, the Davis Cup format changed with the introduction of the team level. That was the only year the Netherlands came to the group stage. Madrid then lost to Great Britain and Kazakhstan. In 2020, Orange lost to Kazakhstan again, in the play-offs to qualify for group stage.

Natal vs Djokovic

This draw led to an interesting clash in advance between Spain and Serbia in Group B. The best players Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic can compete against each other. The team, which includes Canada and South Korea, plays in Valencia. Italian Bologna and German Hamburg are the host cities of the other two groups.

The top two finishers in each group will advance to the knockout round. It will take place in Malaga, Spain at the end of November.
