Cabinet removes Corona entry ticket from the temporary law

The Cabinet wants the Corona entry ticket removed from the temporary law on Covid-19 measures. This means that this measure can no longer be used against the spread of Corona as of June 1.

Minister Kuipers would have liked to keep the Corona passage in his “toolbox”, in case the number of infections increased too quickly. But there were more and more opponents.

In the debate in the House of Representatives on the fifth extension of the temporary law, which runs from March 1 to June 1, Christian Union Coalition He opposes retaining the option to use Corona Corridor.

The resistance was great

The government has now decided not to include the entry card in the sixth extension of the law. By the way, the question is whether that sixth extension will come. And it seems that the Senate, which will vote on it in mid-May, will reject the fifth extension.

The Corona ticket has not been used in the Netherlands since February. People can use a QR code to prove that they have been tested, vaccinated, or just recovered from COVID-19. The social resistance was great.

By the way, a number of holiday countries still ask for a Corona ticket.
