The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be played in sixteen cities, eleven in the United States, three in Mexico and two in Canada. FIFA made the announcement during a TV show in New York on Thursday evening (Dutch time).

The United States will host games in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle during the World Finals.

In Canada, football matches will be played in Toronto, Vancouver and Mexico, while World Cups will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey. All three home nations automatically qualified for the tournament.

“We look forward to working with the cities we run in and hope it will create an unprecedented World Cup. In addition, it would be great if it could be a turning point in our quest to make football known around the world,” said FIFA President Gianni Infondino.

This is the first time the three nations have co-hosted the World Cup. Also, in four years, 48 ​​countries will participate for the first time. There are 32 more in Qatar this year.
