It seems like it hasn’t had any updates in Tweakers downloads for a while. I’ve been a Bitwarden user for a while and I’m not really looking for a new password manager, but I’m curious to know what makes it even better. I think the UI looks a bit sleeker, but is that the only thing?
There are still some minor downsides to Bitwarden, which makes me take a look again. For example, the screen sometimes wants to stay in the taskbar on startup (not minimized to the system tray) and automatically logging in on devices where I’m the only user doesn’t always work correctly. I also think it’s unfortunate that it doesn’t have code or an easy way to fill out a form quickly (which LastPass had). I think autofill is always a bit risky). And if you log in with login information that’s already used elsewhere because it’s the same client, they’ll never want to merge it. And when I register somewhere, it doesn’t always auto-fill some information (and password generated), which I find a bit weak.
I’m curious to know if 1password does it better and what its pros and cons are. When I was looking for something different a couple of years ago, this wasn’t a really good alternative (although I don’t remember why).
