Five of the litigants worked at the Fremont plant facilities, in the San Francisco Bay Area. In October, a jury ruled that Tesla should pay a former black employee $137 million in damages for ignoring the ongoing racism the man was subjected to at the Fremont factory. The sixth woman to file a lawsuit worked in service centers in Southern California.

The six separate charges filed in California court on Tuesday alleged that co-workers and executives made sexual advances to women, made graphic comments on their bodies, and in some cases touched them inappropriately. “The floor of the Tesla factory looks more like an old construction site, dormitory, or college residence than a modern business in the heart of the progressive San Francisco Bay Area,” one indictment reads.
Incidentally, the Tesla factory in Fremont made the news differently on Tuesday: local police announced that they had arrested a Tesla employee on suspicion of shooting a colleague. It is said that the fatal shooting took place just outside the factory building.
