Samsung presents the Galaxy A52s 5G as the successor to the A52 series. The new model has a more powerful soc, the Snapdragon 778G instead of the Snapdragon 720G or 750G of the A52 phones. The A52s will go on sale from September 3 from 449 euros.

Qualcomms The Snapdragon 778G contains Four Cortex A78 fast cores and four Cortex A55 frugal cores. With the Galaxy A52s 5G, these four fast cores have a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz, Samsung states. The four economical cores are clocked at 1.8GHz. The Galaxy A52 and A52 5G both have two powerful cores and six A55 economy cores, with these two powerful cores being slower than the four powerful cores of the A52s 5G.

Additional specifications are the same as the A52 5G model. So the A52s has a 6.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, and the screen has a hole on top for the 32MP front camera.

In the back there are four cameras. It is a primary camera with a 64-megapixel sensor, an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 12-megapixel sensor, in addition to the presence of two 5-megapixel sensors for the macro and a depth camera. The battery capacity is 4500 mAh and can be charged at 25W. A52s 5G is IP67 certified.

For 449 euros, buyers get 6 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage. There is also a more expensive version available for 509 euros, with 8 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage. Galaxy A52s 5G is available in white, black, purple and mint green.
