Schools where 30 percent or more of the pupils come from low-income families can benefit from school meals. Students in special education are also eligible. The amount of support of 100 million euros should reach a total of 300,000 students.

“We are currently working hard behind the scenes to ensure that schools receive help quickly. Schools that have registered will receive an initial response within three weeks,” says a Red Cross spokesperson.

The Red Cross and the Youth Education Fund are behind organizing support funds.
