QuakeCon returns as a physical event this year after three years of virtual events – games – news

QuakeCon returns this year as a physical event. Bethesda announces this. For the past three years, the event has been held virtually. QuakeCon 2023 will take place from August 10th to August 13th.

This year’s event will be held at the Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, writes Bethesda on the QuakeCon website. According to the company, the focus this year is on a so-called BYOC LAN party, to which attendees must bring their own computers.

With the focus on this LAN party, QuakeCon will be an exclusive event this year. Access will be limited to pre-registered attendees, according to Bethesda. There will be no exhibition space this year, nor will there be any general admission tickets, which allow people to enter without being assigned a specific seat to the local party.

Other activities and meetups will also take place during QuakeCon 2023, according to Bethesda, though no specific details have been shared yet. According to the organization, a live program will also be broadcast on Twitch for people who cannot attend. A full program of the event will be shared “soon”.
