OPPO will release Android 12 update for phones from December – tablets and phones – News

OPPO will release Android 12 update for its phones from December for phones in the Netherlands and Belgium. Find X3 Pro gets the upgrade first, followed by several cheaper models and then Find X2 Pro.

The manufacturer says the upgrade will affect a minority of OPPO phone users worldwide. The manufacturer claims to have 440 million users of the Android skin ColorOS, while the upgrade is coming for 110 models, which together are good for 150 million users.

According to the release schedule, the 2.5-year-old Reno 10x Zoom is the oldest phone. It appeared on Pricewatch in April 2019. Other models of the manufacturer’s era such as Reno, Reno2, Reno2 Z and Reno5 phones are not on the list. However, Reno4 and Reno6 devices are on the list to upgrade. Also, cheaper models like last year’s A31 are missing.

OPPO inherits many Android 12 features in its ColorOS12, including a privacy dashboard, microphone and camera usage indicators, and inaccurate location usage if users want to. In addition, OPPO says it stores data on servers that are physically close to users, “stored in an unusual text format and transmitted using a proprietary protocol”.
