OnePlus has shown the premiere of the Nord N20, a budget smartphone that should be released later this spring, at least in the US. The design without the camera island and flat sides is different from that of other OnePlus models.
Nord N20 gets a 60Hz OLED display, PCMag . writes, which obtained and displayed the information from OnePlus. According to the manufacturer, the choice between a 60Hz OLED screen and a 90Hz LCD screen was in the price range of the N20, and the manufacturer chose an OLED display due to better contrast and lower power consumption. It’s a 6.43-inch screen, which is the same tilting screen as the Nord 2 in Europe.
The fingerprint scanner is located behind the phone screen, which is more noticeable due to the flat sides. Since Apple adopted it in the iPhone 12 series, more phones have flat sides. The phone also does not have a camera island, but only three separate cameras. Below the camera is the text “ultrashot 64 MP”.
According to previous rumours Nord N20 will get Qualcomm Snapdragon 695-soc with 5G support. The dimensions of OnePlus Nord N20 5G will be 159.8 x 73.1 x 7.7 mm. The N20 will follow the N10, which was launched in the US for $299. In the Netherlands and Belgium, the N10 was released at the end of 2020 for 349 euros. It is not known if the N20 will also be launched in Europe.
